Sanctuary Prints are original prints in the true sense. They are not copies of paintings nor are they photographs.
The process by which they are made involves the fusion of elements of painting, drawing, photography and, in some cases, written images ; the composition is then integrated digitally and finally the production is overseen personally by the fine-art specialists at Creative Digital Printers.
The prints are unique and exclusive to Sanctuary Gallery and are restricted to very limited editions.
The materials used are of the best quality. The type of paper is chosen to suit the particular prints. All papers used are acid free art papers. The printers inks used are 'high-pigment inks' ; the importance of this lies in the enhanced surface texture of the prints and the strong colour fastness of the inks. Many inks used today are 'dye-based' and while excellent for their purpose, they do not provide the same 'fine-art quality'. Sanctuary Prints are all produced using high-pigment inks.
Because these prints are a direct collaboration between Sanctuary Gallery and the printers at Creative Digital we are able to offer them at prices free from any extraneous costs. The prints are available through our online shop at exactly the same price as they are offered in the gallery AND there is no charge for postage and packing.
The prints are supplied unframed but are mounted in acid free board. Each print is signed and numbered.

The Prints
Remember that the first print of each edition is retained by Sanctuary Gallery and that we undertake not to produce more than a single edition of each print. There are, therefore, very few prints of each picture available.
The measurements given are those of the actual image and do not include the mount.
Print 1 is Dewdrop Reflection 120mm x 120mm.
On 'tintaretto' paper. The edition is limited to 25 prints.

This is a special edition print. It has been printed using the 'giclee' method, which applies the ink in such a way that the density of ink and clarity of image is maximised.
On 'gloss' paper. The edition is limited to only 10 prints.
