Nothing from Sanctuary Woodcrafts is factory made, let alone mass produced. Each piece is unique and individual; the supply is very limited.
Everything you see here is the result of woodsmen working the specific and particular materials presented to them during the course of their work. Items are produced when pieces of cut wood suggest their potential, not when someone arbitrarily decides to produce them.
Nature suggests, woodsmen respond by working the material nature provides.

Hardwood Bowls
The wood is all from the Welsh Marches and has been individually worked sympathetically to its characteristics.
The outsides of the bowls retain the bark and the carved surfaces are finished with linseed oil.
Ideal for pot pourri, fruit, sweets or simply to be valued as themselves.
Packaging and postage to UK addresses is free.
Bowl 1
Carved from a piece of rare burr oak this bowl measures 30cm x 25cm and stands 12cm high. It is a particularly fine example of the distinctive pattern of burr oak.

Carved from a piece of sycamore this bowl measures
18cm x 27cm and stands 7cm high. A light and delicate bowl.

Another carved from sycamore this bowl is distinctive in its shape and pattern. It measures 38cm x 27 cm and stands 11cm high.

This triple bowl is especially fine and rare.
Carved from a single piece of burr oak it measures
50cm x 25cm and stands 7cm high.

Twisted Walking Sticks
These sticks are not manufactured or manicured but are cut exactly as they grow. In this sense they are 'woodsmen's sticks' in a very real sense, cut and prepared exactly as if their own. Each stick is cut, stripped and dried before being treated with linseed oil and waiting final finishing.
Because the twist has 'grown' each stick is absolutely unique.
When ordering one of these sticks you will receive an email from Sanctuary Gallery inviting you to stipulate its length (up to 48"). Your instruction will be forwarded and your stick will be finished to your specification.
